HPR International Christmas Festival 2016

Friends and families are invited to come together for festive fun, food and attractions throughout the park, including complimentary admission to Balboa Park museums from 5-9pm.

There will festive holiday lighting throughout the Park – from the Plaza de Panama canopy – to the Botanical Building – to the landmark Moreton Bay Fig Tree.

The HPR houses will be providing ethnic food and spirits, and entertainment from around the world will be presented on the stage.

Parking and Directions Map
Public parking is limited to the Zoo lot (free) and Village Place and Inspiration Point lots ($20 per vehicle) Free parking for persons with disabilities is available in the Federal and Space Theater lots. Free shuttle service is provided from PETCO Park ($5 per vehicle) and City College (free). Shuttles run on Friday from 3:00-midnight and on Saturday from 11:30AM-midnight. All shuttles pick up and drop off at 6th Avenue and Laurel Street

2015 Summer Lawn Program

Join us on Sunday, August 9 from 12-4pm or our annual Summer Lawn Program.

This year we will have a very festive show with Dancers and Congos from our Los Angeles partners, Viva Panama. We will also have piñatas filled with candy for the kids.

We will have the following food and drinks for sale:

• Arroz con Pollo with Platano en Tentacion and green salad
• Pineapple Upside-down cake
• Limonada
• Tamarindo
• Raspado

Upcoming Weekend Event: February 1, 2015

Join the House of Colombia, Panama, Mexico and Peru as we present a Taste of Latin America.

Date: Sunday, February 1, 2015

Location: Balboa Park, International Cottages

Event Time: 12:00pm - 4:00pm

Performances: 2:00pm - 3:00pm

Each country will perform traditional dances and provide tasty treats for you to sample.

The House of Panama will serve Chica de Tamarindo and Desserts and perform 3 dances.

Upcoming Weekend Event: June 14, 2014

El Cajon Event: America on Main Street

This weekend the House of Panama will be marching in the El Cajon Event: America on Main Street.

We will be in our traditional polleras and montunos. Sonares de Mi Tierra will also perform on the Main Stage at 3:00pm.

El Cajon's "America on Main Street" celebrates the American spirit through the appreciation and respect of the many diverse, ethnic and historical groups in the community. 

The event will take place on June 14 from 10am-10pm in Downtown El Cajon (East Main Street and Rea Avenue, between Magnolia and Claydelle Avenues).

Make sure to stop by our food booth to get Tamales, Empanadas and Mamallena.
